Wish List
for the
Rancocas Community Center
Built in 1877 to house the Rancocas Lyceum, the most famous literary
society in Burlington County, accommodating 500 seats. Later the building was used as a Town Hall
and then became the Firehouse in 1925 until the 1990's when it became the Community Center.
We Need Your Help!
The upkeep of an old building can be a challenge. Keeping the Community Center up to code is always
our first priority, whether it be the actual building structure, the equipment in the kitchen, or
the plumbing, heating, landscaping, etc. You get the idea.
With that in mind, it was decided to go to the folks in the Village and post our wishes here. Any
ideas or suggestions are always welcome!
The RCC's Needs - The Wish List!
Do you know someone that's selling (or, even better, giving away) what we need? Let us know.
- Commercial Stove: Looking to update the kitchen with an
newer, commercial stove.
Knowledge/Consultants/Help Needed!
Electricians, plumbers, roofers, etc. We'll be posting specific needs here as they occur.
- Sheet Rock Repairs: The main room needs some
sheet rock repairs. Looking for help, from consulting on materials to the actual repairs.
- Painting: Thank you to Barbara and Tom Kuhs
for recently painting the repaired shed (in back of the Community Center). Great job!
